About Dasmesh Girls College
Dasmesh Girls College, Mukerian (Dist. Hoshiarpur) has been named after the tenth (Dasam) Guru of Sikhs Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a great scholar was established on 21st December 2000 and managed by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Educational Trust.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.18 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 19th January 2016.
The aim of the college is to meet the necessity of competent and quality teaching and to promote education for women, especially in the remote rural area.
It is a woman self-financed private college, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of a Hoshiarpur played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college has been received numbers of an award in publication, offering scholarship also awarded by the different societies with in different fields.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Computer Application, Science, and Commerce with various specializations under Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The college also offers two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations for the students. It offers diploma, self-financed, and certificate courses as well.

- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 22nd January 2016 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs

- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
