Devineni Venkata Ramana & Dr. Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology, Kanchikacherla was established in 2002. The College has been approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada.

AICTE has approved the establishmen of institution with the name and style: "Devineni Venkata Ramana & Dr. Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology" in the year 2002 with three branches of engineering (ECE, CSE and EEE) and subsequently AICTE has given permission to commence the Mechnical branch in B.Tech, MCA & MBA course in the year 2004, B.Tech in Civil branch in the year 2013 and B.Tech in Information Technology in the year 2017. The college is affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada and is an Autonomous Institute from Academic Year 2018.

APSCHE has approved diploma courses in 2012-13 with two braches-EEE, Mech. From the Academic Year 2013-2014 has approved two more branches in diploma of engineering -Civil, ECE.

Devineni Venkata Ramana & Dr. Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology is located on NH 9 in a 30-acre campus with sylvan surroundings at Kanchikacherla, APCRDA in Krishna District, about 35 KM from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

UGC has recognised our college as an Autonomous Institute from academic year 2018-2019.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC assessed and accredited our institution with "A" Grade with 3.22 on point scale of 4.

In recognition of excellence in technical education our college is accredited with NBA for 4 B.Tech Courses - CSE, ECE & ME.

In recognition of the quality in dissemination of technical Knowledge, the college has been awarded with ISO-9001:2008 certificate by TUC-SUD South Asis.
