Devaswom Board Pampa College, Parumala (Dist. Pathanamthitta) was established in 1978 and managed by Travancore Devaswom Board (R), which was established in 1949.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade (in 1st Cycle) on 21st March 2003.

The aim of the college is to offer quality higher education to the students in and around Mannar and the nearby areas in various taluks of Alappuzha and present Pathanamthitta districts.

It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Pathanamthitta played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

Pampa college progressed step by step, first as a junior college, then as a Degree College in the year 1978 and finally a Post Graduate College in 1984.

The wholehearted support and service provided by Parumala Church, Muslim Jamayat, Mannar and Thrikkuratti Temple had helped in the proper functioning of the college.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the admission criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams and offers two years of postgraduate courses in Science and Commerce with various specializations under the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

Students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
