About Department of Hotel Management, Christ University
Department of Hotel Management-Christ University was established in 1991.
Its affiliated to Christ university.
with the objective of primarily being to train students to join the hotel industry. It has 11 full-time faculties, with relevant industry and teaching experience.
The department has also put forth a diploma course in wine studies which is the first of the kind in the country.
The academics with hotel management focus on the core aspects of hospitality with a mix of management subjects which is required for the growth of a student.
The department has always been ranked among top business magazines like the outlook, India Today and The Week, where in Christ University, Hotel Management was chosen to be the most preferred college in the country for hospitality studies for 2010.

Scholarships
Student will be awarded a merit scholarship in September each year. In the first year, the scholarship will be decided on the merit of the pre-entry marks, mid-semester test and attendance in regular classes. Merit scholarships for the consecutive years will be decided based on performance in one end-semester and two mid-semester examinations of each year
Scholarship will consist of a percentage refund of fees. Each combination will be considered for two merit scholarships. Combinations with more than one section will be considered proportionately
Fee refund/ reduction will be considered as follows:-
Upto to INR 10,000 - 50%
INR 10,000 - INR 25,000 - 25%
Above INR 25,000 - 10%
Alumni association scholarships:
Helps economically weak students through the alumni fund.
Financial assistance:-
Student who enrolls in the first year degree or P.G. course who is economically weak but diligent, especially from rural areas is eligible to apply. He/she should furnish enough evidence of his/her eligibility enclosing community/ income certificate from an official not below the ranks of a revenue inspector. Applications will be scrutinized, and a final interview with or without a parent/guardian by the scholarship committee will decide his/her eligibility.
Percentage of concession for different categories is recommended as follows:

Others- -0-90%
