About Department of Food Processing and Engineering-Karunya University, Coimbatore

Department of Food Processing and Engineering-Karunya University was established in 2005 under the School of Biotechnology.

It is recognized as a Cottage Scale industry for preparation of fruit and vegetable products, by the Fruit Products Order, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

Karunya Food Quality Testing Laboratory which has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Laboratory Testing (NABL), Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, for conducting chemical analysis of Oil samples.
