Debra Thana Sahid Kshudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya (DTSKSM), Paschim Medinipur was established in 2006. It is affiliated to Vidyasagar University, a renowned university of West Bengal.

The college was started to impart the higher education to this region and promote social, cultural and moral values with a view to uplift the status of personal and professional life. The college offers under graduate courses in Arts stream.

The Institute has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure. It was established in 1981 and  named after one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal as well as one of the doyens of Indian Renaissance; Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar.

The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
