Dayanand Women's Training College Situated in the heart of Kanpur City, Mcrobertganj, Dayanand Women's Traing College was founded by Dr. Virendra Swarup in the year 1958.It is the oldest Teachers Training College in Kanpur, run by the Board of Management, Dayanand Shikshan Sansthan (U.P.) under the guidance of Sri Manvendra Swarup. The College is affiliated to the Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University of Kanpur and is also a grant-in-aid institution, recognized by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f)and 12(B).

The D.A.V. College Trust and managment Society re-named as "Dayanand Shiksha Sansthan, U.P. Kanpur" was established in 1892 in U.P. In memory of Swami Dayanand Saraswati one of the architects of modern India, Under the above prestigious management, Dayanand Women's Training College, Kanpur was established in the year 1958 by eminent educationist late Dr. Virendra Swarup. it is the first professional post-graduate training college of kanpur, affiliated to the Chhatrapati Shauji Maharaj University,Kanpur. At present the college is running under able guidance of Sri Manvendra Swarup, Secretary, Board of Management, son of honourable Jagendra Swarup Ji (M.L.C.), Mahamantri Dayanand Shiksha Sansthan. The institution was established with an aim to be premier teachers training institution. The College has come a long way maintaining its high standards and making a paramount contribution in the field of teachers education and higher education for women. The College has programmes of B.Ed. and M.Ed. under self finance programme the college also has M.A(Education) & M.A.(Home Science).The admissions are taken as per university norms and regulations.
