Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Chennai was established in 1972 by Mahatma Gandhi, is an independent organization and Mahatma Gandhi was its president till he breathed his fast.
It was started with its four linguistic branches having their haedquarters at Hyderabad, Thiruchirapalli, Ernakulam and Dharwar.
