D.Y.Patil College of Engineering and Technology (DYPCET), Kolhapur was established in 1984. It is managed by D. Y. Patil group and it was the second institute under that group.

The college is approved by AICTE and government of Maharashtra its rigorous scrutiny awarded the college as ‘A’ grade institution in continuation till date.
