D.V.R. College of Engineering and Technology, Kandi  was established in 1997.

• This college is approved by with All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh.
• The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.  
• The college was established with the vision and mission to develop good, ethical engineers through innovative and qualitative teaching methodologies. It is managed by  Devarakonda Educational Society.
• DVR offers undergraduate B.Tech degree programs in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science and Civil branches of engineering with a total intake of 640 students every academic year.
