About Cross Land College
Crossland College, Udupi was established on 2nd July 1984 by Dr. C.T. Abraham, an educationist with vision has completed three decades of transforming the young men and women from a rural area into potential human resources.
Crossland College is jointly sponsored and managed by the Priority One India Trust and the Priority Educational Foundation, non-profitable Christian minority Charitable Trusts working for the total welfare of the people of India.
It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 24th September 2002 under Act, 1956.
It re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B++" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.86 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 5th November 2016.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts & Commerce stream under Mangalore University, Mangaluru and offers two years intermediate course in Arts stream under Department of Pre-University Education, Bengaluru. It also offers various add-on Diploma courses.

- To provide University Education that will build up national unity and international understanding
- To give opportunity to the financially underprivileged youth for quality University Education by giving work on campus to earn money for their education

- The college has an impressive and pollution-free campus with panoramic green surroundings, elegant landscaping and beautiful flower-beds
- The college has separate individual departments for all subjects with young, dynamic faculty and non-teaching staff and with good results
- The college has the most eminent Faculty members and they are really well qualified, experienced and truly committed towards enhancement and development of the students
- The college has well-equipped with modern facilities like library, laboratory, classrooms, computer lab, canteen, seminar halls, common rooms, auditorium, multipurpose halls, playground & hostel etc.
- A sufficient number of classrooms with varying sizes are made available for the smooth conduct of different classes in the college
- The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed
- The college has a book bank for helping the poor and backward class students
- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 9th July 2005 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
- Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- Transportation facility is available for the students
- The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the boys & girls coming from far-off places
- The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
