College of Home Science (CHS), Kurukshetra was established in 1998.

It is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University.

The college was established to impart M.Sc degree in one of the specializations of Home Science i.e.

Foods and Nutrition with objectives to orient students to the sociocultural and economic environment effecting Dietary & Nutritional status of rural, urban and semi urban communities, to prepare the cadre of professionals to work with governmental and non-governmental organizations related to Foods & Nutrition in various capacities, to enhance self-employment potential through entrepreneurial skill training in quantity cookery , Dietetics.

The institute's infrastructure is modern with well equipped facilities. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students in various departments of the college.

There vision is be widely acknowledged as a distinguished seat of higher learning, ever striving to become a leading centre of academic excellence by expanding the frontiers of knowledge in global encompassment, with due emphasis on societal concerns and our rich cultural heritage.
