College of Engineering, Vadakara was established in 1999, formerly known as Co-operative Institute of Techology, Vadakara (CITV).

The college is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

• CITV is the first College established by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education, Thiruvananthapuram, an undertaking of the Government of Kerala.
• The college offers six Engineering streams with a sanctioned strength of 60 students in each branch per year.
• 2010 onwards College started post graduation program in Computer Application department.
