College of Education, Bilihara  was established in 2009 and this is a Private college.

The College offers undergraduate and post graduate course in education.

The College was founded to serve the education in the region.

The college is affiliated to Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, originally known as University of Saugar.

The University was established in 1946 by the life time savings of Dr. Harisingh Gour, was a great patriot, philanthropist, educationist and social reformer.

The University was renamed as Doctor Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya in February 1983.

It is the 18th University of India as well as the oldest and the biggest university of Madhya Pradesh.

The University has been awarded with an A Grade accreditation by  NAAC and approved  by UGC.

The University is situated 5 Km. east of Sagar city and its campus is spread on 830.3 hectares on the top of Patharia hills.
