CMS College of Engineering (CMSCE), Namakkal was established in 2007.

It is a coeducational self financial institution, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

The institution was started by the chairman and industrialist Thiru C. Muthusamy, with the aim of offering various value based courses that should match the global requirements.

The college is also founded specially to uplift the rural backward communities with impeccable quality of teaching and thereby making them employed in good companies and royal industries.
