About CMR Institute of Management Studies
CMR Institute of Management Studies (CMRIMS), Bengaluru Urban was established in July 1996.
It is one of the autonomous constituent parts of the CMR Group of Institutions (CMRGI) and promoted by CMR Jnanadhara Trust, serves society regardless of socio-economic levels, offering practical education through its interrelated programs of instruction, research, and professional service.
The college is affiliated to Banglore University, Bengaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is also recognized & approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.19 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 5th January 2013.
The broad objective of the CMR Institute of Management studies is to impart quality education and motivate students to develop an aptitude for creative thinking and analysis.
The college believes that our responsibility lies in motivating students as well as nurturing them in the right environment so that they can contribute significantly to tomorrow’s world. Whatever the student’s inclination, CMRIMS can offer a stimulating and enrich the intellectual experience.
The college offers three years undergraduate in B.Com, BBA, & BCA under Banglore University, Bengaluru.

- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
- The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
- Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- Transportation facility is available for the students
- The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the boys & girls coming from far-off places
- The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
