Christ College, Jagdalpur was established in 2001 by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), with a view to blending sacred and secular education. It is a self-financing religious minority institution for higher education for the deserving candidates and proves to be a milestone in the path of progress.
The college campus is situated in the green surroundings of paddy field in the terrain of Jagdalpur, headquarters of the tribal district of Bastar. The campus enjoys fresh air, and pleasant climate, conducive to the rigorous training programs of professional courses.
The college is affiliated to Bastar University, Jagdalpur and recognized by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "C" Grade in the year 2014.
CMI is the first indigenous religious congregation in India with a membership of more than 2000. It renders service to humanity in educational, social, healthcare, and other fields aiming at integral development. From the early decades of the 1970s, CMI has been dedicated to uplifting the lives of people of Bastar region.
