Chitrini Women's College of Education, Sabarkantha was established on 1st June 2005 under the management of Gnanyog Education & Welfare Trust. The Chitrini Women's College is a dynamic and innovative institution with an unrivaled reputation in the pre-service training of teachers, youth, and kids.

The college is affiliated to SNDT Women's University, Mumbai (Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai) and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal NCTE Order No. / WRC/2-32/323203/76/2005/7120 dated 7th September 2005.

The institute offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
