Chhotu Ram Polytechnic, Rohtak is approved by AICTE and is affiliated with State Board of Technical Education, Haryana.

In a bid to achieve self sufficieny in emerging technical field in the post independence era of India, Jat Education Society laid down the foundation of C.R. Polytechnic in 1956 after the name of Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram. Nestled in a saprawling campus of approximately 24 acres in the eastern part of the 'Educational City' Rohtak, the college has, indeed, matured from a sapling into a mighty oak. From it inception in 1956 with two courses, three year diploma in Civil Engg. And two year diploma in civil draftsmanship, today the institution is in action with three year diloma courses in several different trades – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, E.C.E, C.S.E & Plastic Technology. It can also be said that this instiution of ours has one of the largest fully equipped laboratory and workshop in the name of Ch. Matu Ram constructed with the aid of state government. All the courses undertaken have been duly approved by Director of Technical Education, Haryana and AICTE, New Delhi.

This leading Technical Institute of Northern India initially began with two-year courses in draftsman (Civil) at the time of its inception. Today, this Institute provide three years diploma in several different trades namely, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & communication, Plastic Technology, Computer Science which have been introduced from time to time. All the courses undertaken have been duly approved by Director of Technical Education, Haryana, and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

The Haryana Govt. has always been very kind and liberal in granting aids to this institution and this institution has also been working day and night for the all round development of its students. The admissions to the courses is made through State Level Entrance Examinations and Counselling procedure.
