Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur was established in 2001.
The institute is affiliated to Guru Ghasidas University.

The aim behind the establishment of CIMS Bilaspur was to develop an innovative, dynamic and independent medical institute, dedicated to provide excellent medical education and best health care, particularly to the tribal, backward and rural community of Chhattisgarh.
The college provides undergraduate course in MBBS with multiple facilities to their students.
