Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur 

The university strives to disseminate and to advance knowledge in humanities, social sciences and basic and applied sciences.

It aims at promoting innovation in teaching-learning process, interdisciplinary studies and research and gives special attention to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the people and also their academic, intellectual and cultural development.

The academic programs of the University are periodically updated and revised. A memorandum 0f Understanding signed with Madras School of Economics, Chennai to meet the professional needs of the CUTN for offering integrated and M.sc programs in economics and with MoU signed with Central Institute of Classical Tamil for post graduate program in classical Tamil and MoU signed with National Law School of India University, Bangalore for conducting programs in legal studies.
