Calicut University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Malappuram was established in 2001-2002. It is managed by and affiliated to the University of Calicut.

• The main campus is based at Tenhipalam in Malappuram district. 
• Different departments, well equipped library,  Audio Visual and Reprographic Center, Science and Instrumentation Centre, Guest House, Seminar Complex, Staff Quarters, and Hostels of students, working women etc. are functioning here.
• Extensive play grounds and gymnasiums are located in the campus.
• The institute campus has an extensive area of 10 ha (25.17 acres). The necessary infrastructure facilities like water supply, hostels, canteens and play grounds are available in the campus.
