C. & S. H. Desai Arts & L.K.L. Doshi Commerce College, Balasinor was established in 1969 and managed by Balasinor VidyaMandal.

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide a platform in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) 1955 & 12(B) under Act, 1956. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade w.e.f. on 16th September 2008.

The college has completed thirty-eight glorious and meaningful years of its existence. In this span of thirty-eight years, this college has taken great strides and has emerged as a leading institution for higher education.

The college was started in 1969 and the present building was constructed with an area of 29940 square meters in 1970. College standing on Balasinor Sevaliya Road, National Highway No. 59. The college brings the benefits of higher learning to the doorsteps of the people of the rural, backward area.

It aims at sharpening the student's intellectual acumen, personal discipline, cultural sensitivity and moral conviction. It believes in keeping pace with the fast changing global situation and hence a premier center of higher learning, maintaining excellent teaching and learning environment.

The college offers three years degree courses in Arts & Commerce stream under Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra and also offers some Self-financing & Add-on courses.

The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed.
The college has a book bank for helping the poor and backward class students.
The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college
The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs.
The college has got a large playground, Basket Ball court and facilities and equipment for different sports like Cricket, football, Volleyball, Hockey, badminton, Table tennis and so on.
A health care has been started in the college for the benefit of students and the local population. The college conducts Blood Donation Camp once in a year to motivate students for the social cause
State Government and the Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institute provides the training facility like- face to face interview, resume making, communication skills, that help the students to face the campus recruitment.
For every course, the college imparts practical training to its students that helps them to understand better, improve their demonstrative skills, eliminate hesitation and in this process strives to mold them into industry ready professionals.
The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college.
The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
The college maintains a "Students Welfare Fund" to provide financial help to the poor and deserving students, on application from such students, subject to the availability of funds.
