Chhotu Ram Kisan College (CRKC), Jind was popularly known as C.R. Kisan College, Jind was established in July 1972.

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.16 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 1st May 2015.

Chhotu Ram’s contribution to the process of social change and nation-building was tremendous and he is almost a household name in this region.

Although situated in the Distt. Headquarters, with the apparently urban setting, yet at the most, it may be called a semi- urban institution since an overwhelmingly by a large number of students hail from the backward rural area. Most of them come from distant villages.

Spread over 8-acre land almost in the heart of the town, the college has two faculties, namely the Arts, & Commerce.

CRKC has developed itself over the years and retains its prestigious position as the foremost of institutions dedicated to Arts and Commerce education in the State.

Its Alumni occupy distinguished positions in almost all spheres of society, government, bureaucracy, banking, finance, academics, business, journalism, and media. It has been a long journey through the thirty-seven years and yet the journey has perhaps just begun.

The college offers three years undergraduate & two years postgraduate courses in Arts & Commerce stream under Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
