Budge Budge College, Kolkata was established in 1971. Its affiliated to University of Calcutta, Kolkata.

The institute grew up gradually and systematically to meet the challenges that emerged in the horizon of advanced learning. The mission of Budge Budge College is aimed at shaping tomorrow’s successful leaders in the field of higher education.

At Budge Budge College they believe in building bright students ultimately to be translated into the brighter future of the Nation. The College, at first, started in the domestic house donated by Late Rani Bala Dhar with a very limited number of students, teaching and non teaching staff. Subsequently.

It was shifted to Senpukur wherein classes were held at a residential building donated by Late Charu Bala Dasi, wife of Lata Nagendra Nath Das. At that time the university of Calcutta granted affiliation in pre-university (Arts &Commerce) & B.Com,Pass Course. Budge Budge College has been the most exciting and rewarding professional experiences for thousands of students for decades.

The coordination between the members of teaching and non-teaching staff, students, guardians, social workers, people’s representatives and general citizens has reached a height that makes other institutions of its kind envious.

The vision of the college is to make the students self reliant and to inculcate love of knowledge and provide holistic inclusive education to the student coming from every stratum of the society so that they can establish themselves as ideal responsible citizens and ensure the development of the society they live in.

Our mission is to move towards excellence in higher education. In order to achieve this the college co-ordinates the activities of the teachers, students and other staff members to ensure smooth functioning and all round development of academic as well as other curricular activities. The college ensures better dissemination of pedagogical issues and building up of progressive, dynamic, rational and analytic outlook among students who eventually become a responsible citizen.

The mission of the college is also to ensure gender development of emphasizing on women education and thereby empowering them.
