Bongaigaon B.Ed. College, Bongaigaon was established in 1990. It is the premier co-educational college of education in Bongaigaon city, Assam.

The college is affiliated to Gauhati University, Guwahati and presently the college is self-financed and managed by a Non-Government Private Governing Body with the active support and co-operation from the local people.

Students here are admitted based on as per Gauhati University, Guwahati guide lines and the college is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The college is established to fulfil the long felt need of the people of the locality and since then it has been preparing teacher-trainees with adequate training in the field of education.

The institution strives to inculcate among the teacher-trainees the desirable values, attitudes, to develop the skills and creative potentialities. It equips the teacher-trainees with modern trends in education and develops love, affection and concern towards the society.  

The college is surrounded by picturesque landscape and Bageswari Hill to form its campus. The entire campus gets covered with lush green during the four seasons with trees all around. The campus presents a unique atmosphere and ideal educational environment for students and teachers for all round development.
