Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Institute of Technology & Science (BVC), East Godavari was established in 2002. Its affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

Late Bonam Venkata Chalamayya, A visionary, who understood that the success of the country, its wealth and welfare, will depend on the nation's assets such as ideas and skills of its population. The world is becoming increasingly technological and the value of national assets will be determined by the effectiveness of sicence, technology, engineering and mathematics education. That gave birth on BVC educational society in 1992 and emergence of the first private engineering college, BONAM VENKATA CHALAMAYYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, Odalarevu, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh in 1997.

With a vision of bringing a more viable integrated campus of professional studies. The institute is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The ignition to excel has made BVCITS to compete with its own self inching newer standard.
