BMS Architecture College Bangalore, formerly known as Department of Architecture under BMS School of Engineering, started its journey in 1980.It is one of the oldest foundations of Architectural education in Bangalore.

BMSCA is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and recognized by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, it has been a front runner in the field of architectural education for the past 40 years. The college is well equipped with state of the art facilities and infrastructure and is strong academically with well qualified faculty who are specialized in diverse fields of architecture. BMSCA offers an environment ideal for stimulating discourse on art, architecture, technology and sustainability.

The course structure B.ARCH, M.ARCH (Habitat Design) and Doctoral Program in Architecture emphasize on the fact that students and research scholars are expected to be committed, responsible towards course objectives and work independently as well as in identified formal groups. For both, design studios and theory courses, continuous evaluation of the students' works is followed to ensure quality in the outcome.
