BLDE Association's Commerce, BHS Arts & TGP Science College, Jamkhandi (Dist. Bagalkot) was established on 15th June 1963 under the management of Bijapur Liberal District Education Association (BLDE, which was established on 23rd October 1910.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 8th May 1995 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.12 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) in 2010.

The college offers 5 UG programs: B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, and BCA. Courses and 4 PG programs: MA History, MA Political Science, M.Com and M. Sc Mathematics. All these courses are affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi.

Among these, B.B.A., BCA courses, and all the 4 PG courses are self-financed courses. Computer Science and Bio-Technology subjects are taught on self-finance basis. For B.Sc Course 9 subjects with 9 options of subject’s combinations are taught.

For B.A Course there are 8 optional subjects with 12 options of subject’s combinations. For B.Com and BBA Courses all compulsory subjects are taught along with 2 elective subjects for 5th and 6th semesters each. For BCA Course all the compulsory subjects are taught. Basic English language is compulsory for all the courses and one M.I.L. out of 4 languages.

The compulsory subjects Indian Constitution, Human Rights and Environmental Studies, Personality Development and Communication Skills, Computer Applications are taught for all the UG Courses. The parent University rules are followed in program options. UGC sponsored 3 COPs are taught during the academic years 2010-11 and 2011-12.

The college level certificate Course in Mushroom Culture and Journalism were introduced during the academic years 2011-12 and 2012-13.

The College level certificate course in Journalism is continued for the academic year 2015-16.
