Bijoy Pal Memrial B.Ed. college is situated in the middle of Burnpur - Asansol Township, which is communicable by bus & train from Asansol, Burdwan, Chittaranjan, Kulti, Raniganj, Durgapur, Jamuria, Bokaro, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Adra, Purulia and Murardi. Railway stations are Burnpur and Asansol from where bus, minibus and trakker are available at short intervals. The college offers one-year Bachelor of Education program.
The College offers the course with the approval from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It has been awarded with 4 star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state.
This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. The college has well experienced teachers to enlighten the aspiring teachers. It is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern facilities in its campus.
