Bihar College of Teacher Education, Patna was established on 10th April 2008 under Shahid Idris Educational & Welfare Trust and having college campus at Raja Bazar, Baily Road, Patna. It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide a platform for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the path of progress.

The college is affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (Vide Letter No: 5273/GIII'A'/B.Ed./432/GIIIB' dated 13/09/2012) and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhubaneshwar (Vide Letter No: ERC/7-130.6(I).9/2012/11168 dated 20/04/12), Govt. of India.

The college has a well-equipped building with well-equipped laboratories, library and other essential facilities as required by the National Council for Teacher Education. It is established in the peaceful, area and well communication from Railway & Road.

The institute offers one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at Bihar College of Education, Bhojpur in its various departments.
