Bi Bi Raza Degree College for Women, Kalaburagi was established on 30th July 1977 under the management of Khaja Education Society which was established in the year 1958 by Late Alhaj Syed Shah Mohammed Hussaini.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (in 2nd Cycle) on 3rd March 2015.

The society took up this cause and the Bi Bi Raza Pre-University College was opened consequently in 1975. As the demands of the people multiplied the Bi Bi Raza Degree College was established, under-recognition of Karnataka University Dharwad and by permission of the Government of Karnataka.

Bi Bi Raza Degree College for Women is organized and run on a human and friendly basis. It is secular and broadminded in outlook and gives primary importance towards a proper understanding of the students, their welfare and educational present needs of the community and its aim is to contribute good material for the building up of the nation.

Presently, the college having semester system from 2007-08 onwards. The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts & Science streams through the following subjects and combinations in each semester with optional subjects.
