Bharathiyar College of Education, Deviyakurichi was established in 2005 with the prior approval of the State Government of Tamilnadu, NCTE and the Periyar University.

The College is managed under Sri Sakthi Educational Trust to fulfill the long felt need of the people of Attur as there was no College of Education within a radius of 60 km.
