Bharath School of Management Studies (BSMS), Chennai was established in 1984.

under the aegis of Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust with the aim of imparting higher knowledge to the students.

The college is affiliated to the Bharath University and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). BSMS was started in the year 1984, and acquired deemed to be University status in the year 2003 by University Grants Commission (UGC).
