Bhagat Phool Singh (BPS) College of Education, Sonipat was established in 1968 with an aim to promote quality teacher education among the prospective women teachers.

This educational institute is one of the constituent parts of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Sonipat which is the first Women’s University in North India.

The college is affiliated under constituent part Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Sonipat. It is recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur.

The institute offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their intermediate course from recognized college with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the intermediate level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

The college also offers one-year Master of Education (M.Ed.) under Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Sonipat for those who have completed their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course from the recognized university.

It also offers two years Diploma in Education (D.Ed) courses under Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani. Apart from these courses, the college offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) course.
