Bethesda Primary Teachers Education College, Ranchi is a religious minority institution of Gossener Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The College was established in 1948 and got recognition on 2nd January 1952 by the Department of Education, Bihar.

The Institution started off as a Junior Training School initially and in 1962, upgraded as Senior Training School.

Later in 1971, declared as Primary Teacher's Education College and still continues to bear this name.

Now the Institution is recognized by the National Council for Teacher's Education (NCTE) Eastern Regional Committee Bhuwneshwar as well as affiliated by Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi.
