Besant L.V.R. Teacher Training Institute, Thiruvallur was established in 2008.

The College is managed under Besant Educational and cultural Trust.

Besant Educational and cultural Trust was established in 1979.

The members of the Trust hail from highly respectable and educated families.

The Trust was established to enable the students of improvised families in villages to gain a fruitful education and till date this has been their primary objectives.

The Trust is currently running a matriculation school in the name of Besant L.V.R. Matriculation Higher Secondary school and one Aided school in Chennai. One Matriculation school and Aided school at Sivakasi and a Matriculation school at Kovilpatti are also being run successfully.
