Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya was esablished in 1950. Its affiliated to University of Burdwan.
Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya, also known as Itachuna College, is the only college in Itachuna. College was established in 1950, It is located in the district of Hooghly, West Bengal, India. It was affiliated with Calcutta University from 1950 to 1957, But has been affiliated with the University of Burdwan since then.
The college was accredited by NAAC with B++ level. The mission of the institute is spreading higher education among rural students and achieving a high standard of academic excellence and establishing a bond between the institution and the society.
The academic courses are run at the college in two sections (Morning and Day) on a co-educational basis.
There are thirteen (13) Honors subjects (viz. Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Philosophy, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Nutrition) along with fifteen (15) general courses including Statistics and Geography for the students of the college.
