Barabazar Bikram Tudu Memorial College was established in 2006 in Purulia was founded to provide higher education in the rural area of Purulia District.

The aim of the college is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in this era of information and teaching and as well as to provide ideal environment to develop mental, Physical, social and spiritual level of students.The College is a grant in aid institution of West Bengal Govt.

The College offers under-graduate courses in Arts stream.

The College comes under the University of Burdwan.

This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor.
