Bankura College of Education, Bankura is an affiliated to The University of Burdwan

was established in 2007. With the objective of Spreading job- oriented and need-based education in this part of developing district of Bankura.

The college was established to nurture well trained secondary and higher secondary teachers in the region.

The college offers one-year Bachelor of Education program.

The College is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Bankura College of Education has state-of-the-art facilities for the overall development of the aspiring teachers, studying in the college. Dedicated teachers associated with the college help the students in achieving their goal. The College comes under the University of Burdwan.

This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor.

It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal.

It has been awarded with 4 star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state.
