Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidalaya, Agra was established in 1967.

It is affiliated to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra.

The College owes its existence to the efforts of Late. Shri Dataram Parolia, an industrialist of Kolkata and Shri Ram Chandra Gupta, a reputed educationist of Agra.

The institution has served as a model College for NIEPA for the past so many years and under its auspices teams of principals have visited the College till recent times. The College has been a recipient of State Merit Grant for eight years in continuation.

The special achievement of the college has been to take full advantage of U.G.C. grants in aid in which the contribution of the Managing Committee cannot be negated.

The institution is engaged in the stupendous task of personality development and it is striving continuously to achieve its goal of spreading the light of wisdom.

About Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidalaya, established in 1967 with the motto of "Tamaso ma Jyotirgamaya", is catering meaningfully to be educational needs of the women of Agra region.

The college owes its existence to the efforts of Late. Shri Dataram Parolia, an industrialist of Kolkata, Sri Kisan Lal Ji Gupta Businessman of Agra, Sri Raghuveer Prasad Gupta Business man Agra, Sri Laxmi Narayan Gupta, Bussiness man Agra, and Shri Maveer Prasad Doneria Business Man Agra. Started with only 33 students the college is now a full fledged women's college with about 3500 Regular students and 1000 students in self-financing courses on its roll and seven faculties of Arts, Science, Fine Arts, Education, Commerce, BBA, MA (Home Science, Economics).

Besides U.G. Classes there are four P.G. Departments in the faculty of Arts, two in the faculty of Fine Arts and B.Ed. and M.Ed, in th faculty of Education. About 65 students are enrolled for Ph.D. Degree. The college has been a recipient of State Merit Grant for 15 years in continuation.

The special achievement of the college has been to take full advantage of U.G.C. Grants in aid and full contribution of managing committee.
