BA College of Engineering & Technology (BACET), Jamshedpur was established in 2007. It was established under the aegis of the Bihar Association. The college offers 4 years degree courses in different branches of engineering.

The college is affiliated to Ranchi University and approved by All India council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

B. A. College of Engineering & Technology (BACET) was established in the year 2007 to fulfil the country’s large technical manpower requirement, in tandem with the main focus of MHRD, Government of India. BACET is a unit of Bihar Association, Jamshedpur and the institute is affiliated to Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is recognized by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Jharkhand.

A lush green campus of 20 acres with all residential facilities, located just 22 kilometre away from the din and bustle of Jamshedpur, but well connected with both Jamshedpur and Ghatsila, makes BACET a unique destination for academics in serenity. Such a tranquil campus ambience with adequate Wi-Fi facility helps our students delve deep into subject to get exposed to not only the basics but also the recent developments.

Already ten batches of our graduated students (2011, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) are working in different industries performing well. Apart from such ideal academic ambience and good infrastructure of the college, our highly qualified and well-experienced faculty members from the IITs, NITs and other well-known institutes and universities have made it feasible.

In past few years, BACET has registered subsequent progress and development in all aspects, be it academics or administrative. This has improved the quality of academic performance of the students. Departmental labs have been enriched and upgraded and reorganized in due course of time.

BACET is driven by the last golden word of Mahatma Buddha to his disciple Anand— Appa Deepo Bhavah (be a light unto yourself) and that is the motto of the college.

The college is successively stepping forward to carve out its own niche in the field of technical education.

The solo objective of establishing an engineering college in the city is to create opportunity for those city students who wish to pursue Engineering as a subject and career.

The Institution also strives to provide the infrastructure to contribute towards creating knowledge driven community, which in turn would sustain the developing economy of the country.

The main objectives of the college are to impart quality education in the area of engineering technology and management, to participate actively in increasing the infrastructure of the state and to provide suitable platform for the young enterprising students.
