About Amrita School of Arts and Science, Kochi
Amrita School of Arts and Sciences (ASAS), Kochi was established in 2003 under the management of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is at present affiliated with the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on under Act, 1956.
It is a co-educational college, providing regular courses at primarily the higher secondary and undergraduate levels which are located in a urban part of a Kochi played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
Amrita School of Arts and Sciences located in the sprawling and serene Brahmasthanam Temple Complex at Edappally, Kochi, on the main NH-17, is leaping towards boundless glory and fame.
The school offers Ph.D., M.Phil., 10 postgraduate, 3 Integrated U.G.-P.G. and 4 undergraduate programmes under various departments.
Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi functions as a regular college in the Kochi Campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and is approved by UGC and Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, as per Order no. F.20-47/2005/U.3 dated 19th November 2008.
As per statutory norms, MCA course is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi also. Prior to the formal induction into the ambit of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in 2005, the institute was affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi.
The college has awarded as the best college by the affiliating university and also a number of awards in publication, offering scholarship & also awarded by the different society.
The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated postgraduate, & research courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce stream with optional specializations under the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. It also offers Add-On Certificate courses.

- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
