Arya Girls College, Ambala Cantt, was established in 1959. It is a premier institute of women education to provide quality education to the girls of the region by providing holistic education including professional courses.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade  - (CGPA Score 2.70 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 5th May 2014.   

The college started its beginning with only 38 students on its rolls, Arya Girls College saw its beginning in the precincts of the Arya Samaj Temple, Dayanand Marg. Ambala Cantt.

The sapling was, with the passage of time. Transplanted to the present campus which can boast of very rightly to be the ideal place for girls education both in terms of what Swami Dayanand Saraswati wanted an educational institution to be and what the present education system expects it to be.

Today the college has housed in a campus spread over 7 acres of land blessed with all that nature can afford to give spacious playground, vast campus, blooming flowers and bush green lawns.

The college have students on the rolls studying in Arts, Commerce, Career oriented and Add-on Courses both certificate and Advance Diploma along with this it also offers P.G Courses in commerce and Arts (Pol. Science).

It is the earnest endeavour to help our students to inculcate right values and ideals of simple and chaste living, to live a life of dedication and discipline, to promote national integration and service of humanity keeping in view the tradition set since the very science the very inception of the college and attach great importance to all-round development of the students.

Every year the college endeavor to create new records to attain new heights.

With the blessings of god, they have been able to maintain our lofty tradition of the past.
