Arya College, Ludhiana was premier post graduate institution of northern India was established in 1946 and managed by Arya Samaj Society which was founded by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

The members of the Arya Samaj got together in 1945 and decided to build the college which would cater to the needs of many people in Ludhiana.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The college aims at the harmonious all-round development of the students in the field of art, literature, science, commerce, computer education, games, sports, co-curricular and youth activities.

The trust started many institutions and later they opened separate woman wings on the same campus was later used to house the women section when which was started in 1970.

It is a co-educational self-financed private college, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of a Ludhiana played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) with various specializations under Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The college also offers two years post-graduate Diploma, Arts, and Science streams with various specializations to the students. It offers self-financed and certificate courses as well.
