Anugrah Narayan Singh College (ANS), Barh was established in 1950. It is affiliated to Magadh University.

Anugrah Narayan Singh College (ANS) was established in the year 1951 on the name of (Dr.) Anugrah Narayan Singh. This is one of the oldest and widely acclaimed constituents college under Magadh University since April 01 1975. Now this college is under newly created Patliputra University w.e.f. 18th March 2018. The College is located in semi urban area about 65 Kms, from Patna and is well connected by road and rail. The Sprawling College campus accommodates 16 Postgraduates and Undergraduates Departments, Playground, Seminar Hall, a well equipped gymnasium, a child care ad study center and a big Auditorium. The campus provides an adequate infrastructure that consists of a free wi-fi- campus, well furnished Laboratory, Library, Girls hostel and spacious classrooms. Under vocationalisation of Education Programme of the Govt. of India, the College introduced the teaching of BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) at degree Honors stage in the year 2000. Apart from BCA. B.B.M (Bachelor in Business Management), is also offered by the College.

As an Institution of learning, College has a commanding presence in the University. The College while maintaining its exemplary records in University examinations has also emerged as a major contender in Inter University competitions wining large number of prizes. College while fostering a stimulating academic environment, attempts at instilling in the student values and attitudes which recognized the human imperatives of a strife free community.

As the total strength of the college consists of approx. 40 percent female students, elevating them through higher education is elevating the part of the suppressed section and help them enjoy social justice and empower them by providing employment opportunity.
