Annai College of Education, Salem was established in 2005 with an objective of providing professional education to the students from rural and underprivileged sections of the region.

The co- educational self financed college has been recognized by the N.C.T.E (National Council for Teacher Education).

Annai College of Education is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
