Anna Vinayagar Teachers Training Institute, Kanyakumari was established in 2008.

The College is functioning under the aegis of Anna Vinayagar Educational and Cultural Trust.

The College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, has found approval from the N.C.T.E (National Council for Teacher Education).
