About Anjuman-E-Islamâ€™s Anjuman Arts, Science & Commerce College, Vijayapura

Anjuman-E-Islam’s Anjuman Arts, Science & Commerce College, Vijayapura was established on 15th June 1972.

The college was established under the management of Anjuman-e-Islam was founded by Sayed Mohammed Hussaini Urf Shabji Saheb Burum Peerzade and Sayed Mustafa Hussaini Peerzade in the year 1947-48, belongs to the famous 17th century Sufi Saint Hazrat Hashimpeer who is revered and has a mass following amongst all community.

It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Rani Channnamma University, Belagavi and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 23rd October 1975 & 12(B) on 20th April 2009 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.04 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 2nd May 2017.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce & offers two years post graduate course in Master of Arts in English under Rani Channnamma University, Belagavi. It also offers Certificate & Add-On courses.

State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 15th June 2005 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
Transportation facility is available for the students
The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the boys & girls coming from far-off places.
The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
