Anantha Lakshmi Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Warangal was established in 1956. The college is affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and is recognized by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The college offers a degree course in Ayurvedic of 5 years, which includes a mandatory internship of 6 months. The medium of instruction and examination is only Telugu at Warangal, while at Hyderabad branch of the college, lectures are given in Telugu as well as Hindi. Since inception, the college presents impressive alumni, as they has produced a number of very good doctors which have made a name for themselves in the medical industry.
